"My 75th birthday party took place in a huge marquee in my garden with 250 friends in attendance. The stage was set by a superb warm and sunny day. It was a really special day for me which required a really special band. Without question, Miss Dolores and Friends fulfilled my wish beyond my wildest dreams. Her beautiful voice and superb repertoire complemented by her superb "friends" made for a day to remember. My guests were totally enthusiastic, ecstatic and enthralled. So much so that "Miss Dolores and Friends" not only received a further booking for a "roaring 20's" function for the following month from one of my guests but was also elevated in the subsequent advertising to "Lady Dolores" in which the whole band turned out in period dress - Miss Dolores as a "flapper" and the band in DJ's. "A truly sublime evening! - I could not recommend Dolores & F. highly enough, led by the exquisite vocals of Sarah Jane.. Our perfect mid-summer conditions; outdoor 60th birthday with 80+ guests, were complemented by crystal-clear vocals, excellent instrumentalists and a repertoire from ‘50s -90s which set and caught the mood. The band’s flexibility even embraced ‘roving’ musicians (ie the birthday boy on clarinet) who wanted to indulge in some trad jazz.
